Beatin' the Heat... and a preview of School Days!
As most anyone knows it has been totally hotter than hell down here in Texas. We are always looking for a good way to cool off! Taryn and I were at Wal-mart and I saw these ice cream molds for the freezer, so I thought why not? We had a good time making some homemade, yummy treats with the blender. Pretty basic; yogurt, banana and OJ... Taryn totally loves them, so I will have to buy some more molds and create some new recipes, any recommendations ? Instead of taking bites out of them, Taryn insists on licking them, so sadly half of it melts all over the place before he finishes creating a huge mess on him and the ground! That is why we do this right before bath time and outside!
We went cowgirl boot shopping for Niki this weekend and got a free backpack with our purchase. Needless to say Taryn has been wearing it around the house filled with toys and balls since we got home. You should have seen him in Cavendar's he made a complete mess of their boots, but the folks there didn't seem to care! Hopefully he is this happy on his first day of school in the years to come!
The backpack is bigger than him! Somehow he is able to take it off and on even fully loaded.

Hey Loren! I have some great smoothie recipes - I'll email them to you. Also, I got some popsicle molds @ Bed Bath & Beyond that have a bowl type thing at the bottom that catches the melted popsicle & a straw that you can suck the melted part with. Does that even make sense?? Anyway, they're awesome. CUTE pictures!
