Baby Shower at Niki's Work...
We have had a busy last couple of weeks and it is time to give some updates. Two weekends ago we had our first shower and it was great! Niki is lucky enough to work with some really neat people who wanted to put a shower together for us. It was nice to meet the people Niki spends her time with away from home. One of our hosts Guille had us play lots of games as is tradition to do in her country of Mexico. We also enjoyed some homemade tamales, beans and a made from scratch cake!

This cake was made by Sandra and not only does it look good it tasted awesome!

This is Niki and Guille. Guille did an awesome job of organizing this shower and made sure that everyone had fun. She had us all involved in playing lots of games as is tradition in Mexico!

Here are a couple of pics from a couple of the games we played.
The top photo if you can't tell is a diaper contest. The three guys had to smell and TASTE the diapers' contents to determine just what our little one had eaten for dinner! I won by guessing that my little diaper contained Peas!
The second game the men played was a race to finish 3 ounces from a bottle. I lost this one as it is nearly impossible to get anything out of a bottle. Guille told us that this would teach us patience for our little one when it is feeding time and not to be in a hurry to do or go anywhere with a baby!

Here is Niki opening one of the gifts from the shower. We are so thankful for all that we received. I made a wise crack at a Christmas party the night before about Potty Training our little one early and as a result one of the girls bought the "Royal Potty" for us or should I say me!
