Ok... so it is REALLY quiet around here.

Taryn started his first day of PreK this morning.  I thought it was going to be a little tougher to get him awake, fed, dressed and out the door in time for an 8am start.  Somehow I was even able to feed/dress myself and Brady before we left.  Taryn has been excited about this for weeks and he was in a good mood and ready to go this morning.  Ok... I will admit I miss him!  See you in a few hours buddy.  We can't wait to hear all about your day!

All dressed and ready to go w/ his backpack too!

Arriving at class where he had to "check" himself in!

What was at his desk waiting for him, but of course Playdoh!
He has been talking about playing with this for weeks.

Mommy and Daddy both got in on the action.

So cute all of their backpacks lined up!  Taryn's is on the far right.

2 months...

Little man Brady just hit the 2 month mark.   He is awake more and more these days.  We have fallen into a good routine where he is now sleeping and eating well. He goes down pretty well for naps with little fussing and guess what... Brady slept thru the night!  I don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but for two nights in a row he hasn't woken up to feed.  Hopefully this continues.  Taryn slept thru the night by 7 weeks and Brady took 9 weeks.  Thank you Babywise, it was harder with Brady, but well worth it!

Brady is smiling all the time and "coos" back at you when you talk to him.  He is getting so big.  I just don't remember Taryn growing this fast, but I know it happened!

So, we had the dreaded 2-month appointment...  SHOTS...  all and all Brady did very well only crying briefly after getting 3 of them.  Way to go little guy!

Here are his stats:

Height - 22.5 inches - 27%
Weight - 10.11 lbs - 28%

Brady was born 6.11 lbs and 18 inches long.

Taryn starts PreK tomorrow so please keep your fingers crossed that he does well on day one/week one.  We are both worried he is going to freak out when we try to leave!  He has all new clothes and shoes for school which he is very excited about.  We also had orientation at school last week and Taryn was the last kid to leave the classroom.  I forgot to mention that I had to carry him out because he wouldn't leave voluntarily.  He is going to learn/change so much, we can't wait to see and hear the things he does at school!

Some updated pics of little Brady...

We are doing well around here this being our 2nd week with Mommy back at work.  We have finally gotten into a pretty good routine with feeding and napping for Brady.  Our first week was a rough one, but we have forged onward and things are looking up.  No, Brady is still not sleeping thru the night, but he only wakes once to feed and goes right back to sleep.  I guess I should be happy about that.  We must have been lucky with Taryn because he started sleeping thru the night at 7 weeks.  Tomorrow Brady will be 8 weeks old and very near to 2 months.  Hopefully in the next month we will be sleeping thru the night!  I am going to need my sleep so I will be able to get Taryn up and ready for school here in another week.  Our schedule will have to change up again when that time comes...

Finally an update on our newest member of the family. Brady has been growing up on us over the last 6 weeks!  We can't believe its been that long.  Little man is nearly two months old.  He discovered his hands the day he was born and has been gnawing on them ever since.  He had his first smile at 2 weeks and Niki reports his first laugh at 4 weeks although I have yet to hear one.  He is growing big and strong so he can keep up with Taryn.  He was born 6lbs 11oz, but just last week he weighed in at 9lbs 4oz.  He is starting to develop some little rolls on those previously skinny legs of his.  I will try and get some updated pics posted as long as my computer will cooperate.

We have had a busy household... Lots and lots of visitors.  Taryn and Brady have been soaking up all the attention.  Niki went back to work this week, so I guess this will be a week of adjustments for all of us.  We had a good six weeks while Mommy was home with us.  It was nice for everyone to be together and to be able to help out with Brady.  Taryn and I were able to spend a ton of time together giving Mom and Brady some time to bond.  Now it is just me and the boys, hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will get into a good routine.  So far this week has been pretty rough, but I am sure it can only get better, right?

One update for Taryn... something new for him this year... he will be attending a Pre-K program for half a day when school starts.  He is really excited about going to "school" and asks every day if he can go yet.  We bought his school supplies and a new backpack last weekend.  The boy is fired up, we only hope he feels the same way on day one when we drop him off.

A little comparison...

We both think Brady came out looking exactly like Taryn, but now that I have the pictures to look at I am not so sure...  Maybe its the pictures, maybe its me... who knows!

Each of the following is a picture of Brady first followed by a similar shot of Taryn.

The Newest addition to the family!

Brady Alan, born Friday June 11th at 7:58am

6 lbs 11oz.  and 18"

Well we are all home now and settling in to our routine.  Mom and Brady are healthy and happy.  Big brother Taryn is completely in love with Brady.  He constantly says "He is so cute" or "He is so perfect"!  I can hardly pry Taryn away from Mom and baby to do anything.  A few pictures to enjoy!

Remember Easter... I didn't think so!

Here are some very late pics from ours this year!

The kiddos had a really good time "finding" all the eggs.  There were so many eggs and goodies it took them forever to finish their hunt.

Alex joined in the fun this year.  She is quite the little egg hunter.

The most fun involved all of the Cascarones we were able to smash on each other.

The 2nd part of our Easter weekend... another side of our family

All the cousins

Taryn was very excited about his baseball gift he got from the Easter bunny.  In fact the backyard turned into a family baseball game shortly after this.

Payten... the newest addition to the family, Taryn's cousin!  I think she had a pretty good time.
