Happy B-day Mommy! (it was actually yesterday)

We have been busy here with half the house a total mess from all the paint work being done, but they are nearly done and we will have our rooms back. I have been keeping Taryn confined to half the house and he hasn't been to thrilled about that. He constantly wants to see what the "boys" (our workers) are doing. It looks like they will be finished up tomorrow. Next on the list is ordering new blinds for all the rooms we painted and getting some new furniture for the master bedroom and possibly living room as well! I will post some finished pics as soon as we are through.

In the midst of all the house work we got to celebrate Niki's birthday. I won't say how old she is now, but for sure over 30. The three of us went to a restaurant in a nearby small town for a yummy dinner and dessert! We had a good time and a really good dinner. For most of the time we were the only people there.

Taryn's favorite part of dinner is what he called "party cake". He absolutely loved the cheesecake we got for dessert.

Once he took a bite he would make this look and hold the cake in his mouth for a minute or two before swallowing.

Taryn couldn't resist playing with all the paint we bought. He realized they were too heavy to pick up, so he just pushed all of them over! He was very proud of his work.
