We finally got some rain!!!

Let's just say it was a little bit too much! I think we ended up getting around 6 inches by the end of the day. We woke up Saturday morning to the sound of rain which was very nice. After a couple of hours of steady downpour this was our view from the house. Not so bueno! We were flooded in and couldn't get out. Thankfully the water never made it all the way to the house and the only real damage we got was watching our mulch float away! After a few hours the water finally started to recede and by the afternoon we had our streets back!

The view from the garage side of our house. We got a call from the hospital during the storm that Niki had a baby to deliver, but we couldn't get our cars out of the garage. Niki called a friend of ours and he came and picked her up in his truck (thanks Kevin). Niki made it in time and Mom and baby are doing well!
