Our 6th Wedding Anniversary!!! (actually on the 24th)
Well six years has come and gone almost like we were standing still! Hard to believe we are now closer to 10 years of marriage than 1... We have lived so many places and experienced so much in just a short amount of time. All and all I would have to say that we are doing pretty well as a couple. Even though we disagree from time to time (sometimes more), we end up on the brighter side of things more often than not. I think we would both agree that we need to take more time to hang out together just the two of us. Once you add a kiddo into the marriage mix that makes things all that much harder. We both want to spend time with Taryn and the best time to do that is when Niki is not working, so it doesn't always ending up leaving much time for just us. Hopefully in the years to come we can find ways to get out and enjoy each others company more.
Today... we had a date of sorts... we spent most of the day tearing down wallpaper in the master bedroom. Taryn helped a little bit, but mostly it was just Niki and I! We worked pretty well together and finished half of the room!
On to the fun part... We figured we would include Taryn in our anniversary plans so we took a family trip to Chuck E Cheese!!! Niki has fond memories of going here as a kid, so we thought we would take Taryn for the first time. Taryn totally loved it! Except for the person in the Chuck E Cheese outfit which really freaked him out we had a blast! He kept saying "hide" when he saw him. We were practically the only family there so we had the place to ourselves!
This was Taryn's favorite game. Jett Rider!!! There were several different scenarios, but the jist of this game was that the seat moved and it made you feel like you were riding on a roller coaster etc! I think Taryn and Niki rode this like 4 or 5 times!
It was fun to watch their faces on the monitor while they were riding! Taryn was really concentrating the entire time.
Taryn tried just about everything and for the most part really enjoyed them all!

Ah, crap!
So much for the stinkin' calendar! I guess I better put that thing somewhere more visible.
Happy Anniversary, you two. Sorry we missed it. Looks like you had fun. I mean, who WOULDN'T want to go to Chuck E. Cheese for their anniversary! ;-)
