Taryn loves him some Livestock Show!

This week in Cuero our county livestock show has been going on and we got to go on a tour with our playgroup to check it all out! We tried to stay with the tour, but Taryn had thoughts of his own... He was going nuts running around looking and touching everything. He saw and TOUCHED pigs, cows, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. He even learned how to open some of the gates, so I had to keep close tabs on him so as not to let out any pigs. He was absolutely fearless and even tried to climb into some of the pens. I had one dirty boy by bathtime last night!

If there is a local livestock show near you I highly suggest taking the kiddos. Taryn and I went 4 times this week (twice yesterday). It was really neat to see the elementary all the way up to high school kids working with their animals and showing them for the judges. All the kids involved get to skip out of school Wednesday - Friday, pretty cool! One of Taryn's baby sitters even won grand champion with her sheep.

You will have to excuse these sideways pictures... I can't seem to fix them and they were totally fine before uploading them to blogger... Sorry for any neck pain they may cause you.

Taryn in hog heaven!

Sheep!

Goats!

These are the kind of pens Taryn would try to climb! He really wanted to get in there with all the animals. He was so inquisitive about everything.
