Taryn's New Hat & Hurricane Ike

We are slowly preparing things around the house for Hurricane Ike. I am not going to board up the house, just put up anything that might fly away in the wind. As of yesterday the whole town was in "freak out" mode. You should have seen all the people and all the empty shelves at the grocery store. This morning the city lifted the mandatory evacuation, so it looks like we are going to stick it out. Looking at the hurricane tracking they think it is going to continue on a Northerly pattern and probably rough up Houston and its surrounding areas pretty good. The more I look at it the more it looks like we may get off pretty easily here in Cuero. We will be thinking about all of our family and friends in Houston over the next few days.

Niki found Taryn a hat a few weeks ago in San Antonio and this is how he likes to wear it. He likes it low over his face where you would think he wouldn't be able to see at all. Somehow he is able to walk around the house without bumping into anything. Time and time I try to correctly adjust it on his head and he instantly pulls it back down over his face. Stubborn little man! I guess that means he really likes it that way.
