Let me backtrack a little... well a lot!

We meaning "I" have definitely been off track here lately. I can't believe it has been almost 2 months since I posted. I have got to start making this a habit again. I am pretty sure Taryn has been sick on and off since the end of September and when he gets sick everything stops in its tracks around here. All the things I want to accomplish or think I might try to tackle melt away until another time.

I know I only have one kid, but I can't seem to stay ahead enough to find time to blog. Scully, I have no idea how you blog so often plus find the time for a nap. You must be some kind of superMOM! Please teach me wise one!

This is Taryn passed out on the couch with a fever. He never sleeps on the couch unless he is completely miserable. Notice the pool of drool the boy is sleeping in!

At one point Taryn had been sick and then out of nowhere he develops this odd limp. He wasn't in any noticeable pain that either of us could tell. I wasn't too worried about it, but after a week or so and no improvement Niki wanted it all checked out. So off to see one of Niki's partners at the clinic. Nothing conclusive found at the doctor's office, so off to the hospital for x-rays and blood work. Thankfully I knew both of the ladies at the hospital who worked on Taryn which made everything a little more comforting. Taryn took the blood letting and the x-rays as well as could be expected. As for the results... everything came back normal and the limp just went away on its own. The human body does some really weird stuff!

Finally some Thanksgiving pics!!!

Niki did not get off work until noon on Thanksgiving Day so as soon as we could we started making our way to Houston by way of Bellville of course. One of Niki's 3rd, 4th or 5th cousins (I am way confused) lives here and invited her Dad's side of the family out for Thanksgiving. It turned out to be perfect weather and we all enjoyed the outdoors. Taryn was particularly happy because there was a giant deck for him to explore. He of course found all the water elements and proceeded to make a mess of himself! He had a really good time with his cousins Emily and Lilly who did a great job keeping him occupied. The food, the company and the nice country outdoors kept us all very happy.

What do you know, finally a good picture with Daddy!

From Bellville we headed to my Dad's house to spend the rest of the Thanksgiving break. Taryn was super excited to spend time with his Aunt Grace and Uncle John. Taryn really enjoyed being driven around by his chauffeur, Grace.

I am not sure how he didn't have whiplash after cruising the streets with Grace and John! Brakes, Gas, Brakes, Gas...

I think the theme of the weekend was MUSIC!!! Grace and John have tons of toys, especially musical toys. Taryn enjoyed playing the piano with Gracie. Niki even taught Grace how to play chopsticks.

We had a big music free for all. I am pretty sure I had a headache after this one! Niki was the ringleader and they all followed suit!

Sup DJ Niki!!! I think I heard Niki say "Wiki wiki what" about a million times. Still not sure what that means.

Taryn doing his first solo!

Jamming out and dancing is pretty much a nightly thing around our house. Sometimes I wonder how we ever get Taryn to bed!

Niki doing the Robot!

Taryn looking very serious. He found this toy yard blower and basically would not put it down the rest of the weekend. Guess we will have to find him one of those!
