Taryn's First Birthday Cupcake!

We had a mini-celebration last night for Taryn and as you can see below it went pretty well up until the end! Daddy had to keep the candle away from Taryn because he really wanted it. We sang happy birthday to him twice once with the lights out so he could really see the candle and again with the lights on! Our little guy just couldn't wait to get his hands on that cupcake. Taryn was a big fan of the icing, but did not care for the cupcake portion. Not a problem, Mommy and Daddy ate it for him. As you would expect Taryn made a big mess and really did not eat that much. He was more into smashing the cupcake and smooshing the icing between his fingers and then rubbing it all over the place! Let's just say I had a bit of cleaning up to do afterwords!



Somebody loves icing.
