Apples & Baths and his first 2 steps...

Taryn is trying new things and one of his favorites is Apples! He will take Mommie's apple and just go to town. At first he wasn't quite sure what to do, but once he got the taste of it there was no getting it back from him!

A couple of days ago Taryn took his first two steps without any help. He saw something he wanted, let go of what he was holding onto and took a step forward. He took a second to bend over and pick up a ball and then stood up again took another step forward before he came crashing down. Of course I can't get him to do it again, but I can see the wheels spinning in his mind as he has been thinking about doing it a few times since. He has been holding himself up pretty well and moving around with the help of furniture in the house. He still has not figured out how to pull himself up nor how to sit-up on his own. As far as crawling, he is still doing what we call the "army crawl", where he just moves along on his tummy, pushing with his legs and pulling with his hands as if he is going under a barb wire fence.

Somebody loves his baths. Two things he doesn't like about bath time, 1) getting out and 2) accidently dunking his face in the water and then inhaling half of it. Not so much fun as he goes into an absolute panic for the next few seconds until he can breathe normally again!

Taryn just loves to kick and splash with his hands while in the tub. Nothing but smiles from our little buddy!
