Great Grandaddy and Great Grandmother on a Road trip!
Last week my Grandaddy and Grandmother were in the midst of a serious road trip. They live in Kochiti Lake, New Mexico which is in between Sante Fe and Albuquerque. The previous week they had driven all the way to Mississippi to visit my Uncle and his family and they stopped off in Houston on the way back home so we could make a trip to see them. Taryn and I loaded up and made the trip with Niki's permission of course to see them on their stop in Houston. Niki couldn't come since it was during the work week. Because they live out of state and don't travel all that much they had never met Taryn. Boy were they in for a surprise! Taryn is very active these days and will not sit still for long. Grandaddy and Grandmother jumped right in and let Taryn take them for walks around the house. We had so much fun getting to spend time with them. Someday we will have to make it up there to New Mexico and visit! Thanks for visiting us in Texas! Grandmere told me it was very quiet around the house after we left!
Great Grandaddy looking on as Taryn makes a big mess out of Grandmere's Easter decoration! She had a big bowl full of raffia grass and plastic eggs on the coffee table and Taryn could not help himself! No matter how many times we put it all back he kept pulling it out over and over!
Caught red-handed!
Grandaddy, Grandmother & Taryn ... we couldn't really get Taryn to stay still!
Great Grandaddy taking a much needed break from walking Taryn around the house. Taryn and Daddy playing some peek-a-boo!
Things have been pretty busy around here lately, sorry for the lack of posts! My free time seems to be spent doing chores around the house. I was out of town last weekend and I returned to a sickly household. Niki has the flu and it looks like Taryn may be getting it as well. No bueno! We are doing what we can to fight it, but the medicine for Taryn is really foul and he crys and crys when we try to give it to him. We tried hiding it in food and his bottle, but the stuff is just too strong and he knows immediately that we are up to something! He refused an entire bottle and won't swallow food if he tastes anything weird. I want to give up, but Niki is forcing me to continue this hellish medicinal treatment!
