Adventures in Swimming!!!!


In the last couple of weeks we have started taking Taryn to the pool in our neighborhood! The first time was a great success as he took to the water like a fish! From the moment we introduced him he was happy and giggly the entire time. We had a great time just hanging out in the kiddie pool since Taryn is not up for the big pool just yet.

Our second trip to the pool did not go so well... I am not sure what went wrong whether the water was too cold, or it was just too close to nap time, but Taryn went bezerk once I got him in the pool and he never really adjusted and became happy. As soon as we got him out and dried him off he was content and went into a little nap!

Taryn was very interested in the water shooting out into the pool. He just could not seem to catch it! Taryn and Daddy just chillin'.

Here are some pics from our second trip to the pool! Taryn did not cooperate this time, but Mommy and Daddy still managed to have a little fun!

We took turns watching Taryn so that we could enjoy the 175 foot slide. This thing is super fast and really fun to go down! I think I have gone like 30 times since we started going to the pool! We were able to get a couple of pictures of each other enjoying the slide!

Later that night we headed out to a nice restaurant to celebrate Niki's 30th birthday! We opted to sit outside so as not to bother everyone eating inside. We had a really nice dinner and Taryn was the perfect little man and let us enjoy the evening!

He even slept thru most of the meal. What a perfect sleeping beauty!
