Some visitors and some updates!!!
Last weekend our good friends Adam and Danielle from Corpus came to visit and we really enjoyed getting to see them! They lived just two streets over from us (on Louise, April), so we spent a lot of time with them. Niki and Danielle worked together and Adam and I hit it off right away when we met! We really miss them! They brought their "kids" with them, Pokey the big one and Zilly their new puppy, both are dalmations. The doggies loved our backyard and roamed around exploring the whole time they were here! We hope to see them more often now that we are closer and we expect to take Taryn on his first beach trip with them sometime next year! We hope to see you guys again soon! Thanks for taking the time to come visit us.
Adam, Danielle, Taryn, Zilly and Pokey!
Adam, Taryn and Zilly! What a cute trio. Taryn trying to figure out just what a dog is... I think Zilly is trying to figure out what this little person is as well. He was a little unsure of this new venture!
Taryn has begun to take in interest in beer very early on! Actually he just wants to chew on anything that looks like a bottle or a cup! Chug a lug Taryn!
We have been trying to work on Taryn's crawling technique... He will only stay in this position for a split second and we have to put him in it to begin with. Sooner than later he will take off and we will be chasing him from there on out!
This is a new face Taryn has come up with... We call it his "grandpa" face because he looks like a grandpa without his dentures, not sure where he got this one from.
One of the newest developments in the last month or so is Taryn's pearly whites. He's got two little ones on the front, bottom of his mouth. This is not a very good picture, but as you can tell he does not enjoy being made to show them!
With teeth we have to start taking good care of them, so Mommy gave Taryn his first toothbrush (a gift from Nene) and he really loves it! He loves to gnaw on it, but I am not sure he is actually cleaning his teeth...
As for today, Niki officially started work and they already had her schedule full for today and Monday...! Mommy is going to be pretty busy at the office. Taryn and I will have to make some visits when we start missing her too much! It is only 1.5 miles to the clinic so Niki will be able to come home for lunch fairly often. Tonight it looks like we will be heading to our first high school football game. Niki and I haven't been to a high school game since we were in high school over ten years ago... The Cuero Gobblers are 2-0 and have a 40-game regular season unbeaten streak on the line tonight against Bandera. This should be a pretty exciting event for our family! I hope Taryn won't be too overwhelmed... Go Gobblers!!!

Word up Louise! Maybe Jonkers will come for a visit too...or at least you could hire him to do your lawn, I am sure the minivan could make the trip.
So glad Niki is doing well!
